How to request deletion of data Cohortive holds about you
Cohortive provides customer analytics and marketing-audience services to online stores. Which route below applies to you depends on how your data reached us. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
If you shopped at a store that uses Cohortive
We hold your data on behalf of that store, not on our own account — the store decides what is collected and why, and we act on its instructions. That makes the store the fastest and most complete route, because it can erase your data everywhere at once rather than only in Cohortive.
Two ways to reach us:
- Contact the store directly and ask them to delete your data. When a store submits that request, its ecommerce platform forwards a redaction notice to us automatically — on Shopify, this is the customer redaction webhook — and we act on it without any further step from you.
- Or email us at privacy@cohortive.ai with “Data Deletion Request” in the subject line. Tell us which store you purchased from and the email address you used there. We cannot locate your records without the store name, and we verify the request with that store before acting on it.
Verified requests are honored within 30 days.
If you use Cohortive for your store
Uninstalling Cohortive halts processing immediately. Your shoppers’ data is purged when we receive your platform’s deletion notice — on Shopify, the shop redaction webhook — or within 30 days, whichever comes first. No action beyond uninstalling is required for that to happen.
To delete your own account data as well, email privacy@cohortive.ai from the address on the account.
Data received through Meta
If you are asking about data collected through our integration with Meta (Facebook/Instagram), email privacy@cohortive.ai with “Data Deletion Request” in the subject line and the email address associated with your account. We process the request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.
